In a hurry and need to whip up a snack for guests? We put our own sweet spin on Bruschetta made with homemade jam (with berries we picked up from the local farmer’s market), truffle goat cheese spread and Thai basil pickled jalapeños from Gordy’s Pickle Jar. In three easy steps, 4 ingredients and under 15 minutes, you’ll have a yummy treat to entertain with or enjoy as a pre-meal appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 fresh baguette
- 1 goat cheese log
- 8 oz berry jam or jelly
- 1/4 jar pickled jalapeños
Total Time: 15 minutes
Step 1: Slice
On cutting board, use bread knife to cut baguette into quarter inch slices.
Step 2: Toast
Put sliced bread into toaster oven or oven on broil for 5 minutes until golden brown.
Step 3: Spread
With small cheese knife, evenly spread goat cheese. (We used a truffle oil and pepper goat cheese to give it an extra savory, spicy kick).
Then top each slice with a dollop of homemade berry jam and slice of pickled jalapeños. (We used Gordy’s Pickle Jar Thai basiljalapeños).
Step 4: Enjoy!
And voila! These baby bruschetta bites are ready to go – the perfect combination of sweet and spicy flavors and will be sure to please your appetite and your guests alike.
